HER Longevity Summit, New York City (October 3). The first physician-led women’s longevity summit, put on by Dr. Poonam Desai. I spent 25 minutes in front of 150 female physicians talking about testosterone for women’s sexual health: who is a good candidate, how to dose and monitor, what the evidence shows, and what’s coming next. Then I spent the rest of the day learning from the other women on that stage. herlongevity.org
Longevity with Dr. Desai. Poonam and I recorded an episode in person at the summit, between my coffee and my talk. Women’s longevity, 30 minutes, no notes. Coming soon.

Soon
A4M Women’s Health Summit, San Antonio (October 8 to 10). For the clinicians reading: I’m speaking Saturday morning on sexual vitality and aging in midlife women (hormones, regenerative therapies, and confidence), then sitting on the afternoon panel on tough perimenopause cases. Details here.
Well Beyond 40 with JJ Virgin. JJ and I are recording in San Antonio on October 9 about why women age from the ovaries out and the one lab pairing I want every woman to know. Episode out this fall.
Luminescence LA, Saban Theatre, Beverly Hills (Saturday, October 17). Commune’s all-day gathering devoted to women’s health. I’m giving a 20-minute talk called The Big O (it’s about ovaries, mostly) and then joining Dr. Stacy Sims and Schuyler Grant for a panel on exercise, nutrition and fasting: is this right for me? Dr. Judith Joseph is also on the bill. If you’re anywhere near LA, come. Use “KILLENMD20” for 20% off. Tickets here.
Eudēmonia Summit, West Palm Beach (November 5 to 8). Women’s healthspan panel on Sunday, November 8 with Dr. Jessica Shepherd, Dr. Stacy Sims and Dr. Natalie Crawford. Tickets here.
Recording this month: unPAUSED with Dr. Mary Claire Haver (in person in New York), You Are Not Broken with Dr. Kelly Casperson, the mindbodygreen podcast, and Better! with Dr. Stephanie Estima. All of them about the book. Most of them will air closer to launch.
Win an early copy of the book. Goodreads is giving away 20 advance reader copies of The Female Longevity Advantage through October 20 (US addresses only). Enter here. If you’d rather not leave it to chance, pre-orders are open and every one of them counts.
One favor. Dr. Louise Newson’s team launched the Women’s Hormonal Health Survey, and I told them I’d share it with you. Anonymous, 10 to 20 minutes, open to women 18 and up anywhere in the world, diagnosis or not. The more women who answer, the harder the results are to ignore. Take the survey.

A ⚡ next to anything means I’m an affiliate or brand partner and may earn a commission if you buy. Nothing on this month’s list is sponsored. I just like these things.
Book: The Calamity Club by Kathryn Stockett. Seventeen years after The Help, and worth the wait. Such great characters. Unexpectedly charming and a fun read. Find it here.
Health accessory: the Suri electric toothbrush and the Flaus electric flosser. Both recommended by my dentist. Well, at least “an electric toothbrush” and “you need to floss more.” Who knew my teeth could feel so damn clean?
Social account: Josh Cottle on TikTok. Entertaining explanations of sexual anatomy by a smart, wacky guy. Also an anatomy teacher, which explains a lot. @scibodytherapy
Exercise: the SlackBlock. A small balance block I’ve been using for pushups, squats and single-leg poses to work on balance. Humbling. slackbow.com
Travel: Ikigai pill cases. Metal, magnetic, engravable, and I love the cherry blossom pattern. So high quality, and it feels extravagant for something that holds vitamins. The cherry blossom color is a limited run, so don’t dawdle. ikigaicases.com

October kicks off what I’m calling the Amy Road Show: 8 cities in 8 weeks, now through Thanksgiving. Fall conferences, new events, live podcast recordings, and a whole lot of book pre-launch.
Here’s what nobody tells you about writing a book: the writing is the easy part. The six months before it publishes? That’s when you live out of an airport. Full story coming soon.
For now, I’m pumped. New cities, new people, and one brave little carry-on about to discover it holds far fewer outfits than I need. Wish us both luck.
If you’re at one of these stops, come say hi. I’ll be the one in the same blazer, now with a personality of its own.
Until I’m spotted next,
Dr. Amy
